What You Need to Know About Symptoms of Gum Disease

Posted .

Have you begun to show any signs of gum disease? Gum disease, also frequently referred to as periodontal disease, is a condition in which you have bleeding gums that will need to be properly treated. Even if you aren’t showing any signs of bleeding gums, and have an infection with your gum tissue, it is important to look for any symptoms that may arise and receive the necessary periodontal care.

Can you identify common causes of gum tissue infections or are you able to spot any forms of sensitivities with your gums and gum tissue? Even if you show no symptoms at all, it is possible that a gum tissue infection is still present. However, common signs and symptoms often appear in early stages of gum disease known as gingivitis. If you notice that your gums are frequently bleeding, and you are suffering from bad breath despite various treatment methods, it could be linked to a deeper underlying condition including a gum tissue infection. Furthermore, extreme gum recession, tooth sensitivity, abnormal inflammation or swelling, loose or separating teeth and pain when chewing are all noticeable signs of gum disease.
